Police are growing increasingly concerned about a missing 74-year old man described as vulnerable.

Thomas Solley was last seen at his home in Hawthorn Gardens in Loanhead around 1.05 pm on Wednesday.

He is described as white, around 5ft 3ins in height and of stocky build. He has white hair that is balding and a white beard.

When he was last seen he was wearing a black bomber-style jacket with a grey stripe across the back and flashes on the shoulder, beige trousers, beige shoes and a grey baseball cap.

Inspector Gail Wood of Haddington Police Station said: “Officers are currently carrying out searches and enquiries to trace Thomas.

“It is completely out of character for him to go missing and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his safety and wellbeing.

“He doesn’t have any money with him, but he does have his bus pass, so he may have gotten on a bus. I would urge anyone who has seen Thomas, or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact Bonnyrigg Police Station through 101 quoting reference number 2635 of 23

September.”
