Pervert jailed for 24 months

A PERVERT from Liberton who indecently assaulted two young girls over a six-year period in the 1990s has been jailed for 24 months.

Robert Tait, 63, preyed on the two children – who cannot be named for legal reasons – between October 1990 and March 1996.

Edinburgh Sheriff Court heard how Tait touched the girls – who were aged 12 and 13 when the abuse began – and exposed himself to them, and also performed sex acts on himself.
