Pink parade at city bus depot

WORKERS at the Lothian Buses Annandale depot were in the pink yesterday as part of their efforts to raise money for breast cancer research.

All 2000 of the firm’s staff wore pink to raise cash for a department at a city hospital run by Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

Some drivers even dyed their hair pink, the colour most related with breast cancer awareness.

Ian Craig, managing director, said: “The research unit at the Western General hospital does great work and we’re confident our staff will get into the spirit by making a contribution to this fantastic charity.”

The organisation thanked the company for the unique move.
