Police appeal for help over missing Fife man

Police are appealing for the public's help to trace a man reported missing from Levenmouth.

Alex Blyth from Methil was last seen in the Broughty Ferry area around 5.20pm on Friday (January 26) but has not returned home or made contact with anyone since.

The 49-year-old has links to the Levenmouth, Dundee and Lochgelly areas.

He may be travelling in a grey Vauxhall Insignia vehicle with the registration plate ST10 XSY.

Alex is described as white, 6ft 2ins tall, and of slim build. He has a bald head and wears glasses.

He was last seen wearing grey Adidas trainers, navy blue jogging bottoms with white stripes and a white hoody with the word ‘Superdry’ written down both sleeves.

Inspector Karen Muirhead from Levenmouth Police Station said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Alex’s welfare and I would ask anyone who has seen him to get in touch.

“Alex might have changed his clothing but we believe he may be using his vehicle and I would ask that the public report any sightings of it to police immediately.

“Equally anyone with information that can help us trace Alex’s whereabouts is asked to contact officers as soon as possible.”

Those with information can contact Levenmouth Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 3881 of January 26.
