Police call again for robbery witnesses

A FRESH appeal for information has been made by police investigating an armed raid on a Niddrie takeaway.

The robbery happened around 10.15pm on Friday, August 19, when two men armed with knives walked into the takeaway in Niddrie Mains Road, and threatened staff.

One of the men forced a member of staff into the back of the premises, and a struggle took place during which the victim suffered a cut to his hand.

The two suspects escaped and were last seen walking in the direction of Craigmillar Castle Road.

One is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, early 20s, well built, bald, and wearing black clothing.

The other man is described as black, 5ft 4ins tall, early 20s, and wearing a black jacket and grey hooded top.
