Police hunt heartless thieves who stole puppy

AN EIGHT-month old puppy has been stolen from a kennel in Midlothian.

Police say the tan coloured male Jack Russell puppy was taken alond with a six-year-old grey coloured male Lurcher during the break-in overnight on Sunday from Ford, Pathhead.

The Lurcher has since been recovered safe and well, however police are still trying to trace the Jack Russell puppy, who answers to the name of Jack.

Jack’s owners are currently on holiday and eager to see him returned home safe.

Police Sergeant Kenneth Eccles said: “This is a very upsetting incident and we are eager to see Jack returned home as soon as possible.

“Anyone who saw anything suspicious last night, or who recognises the description of Jack, is asked to contact police immediately.
