TWO men are being hunted by police after a shopkeeper was attacked during a robbery.

The pair escaped with a four-figure sum of cash after the raid at Leith Grocer in Leith Walk. Both suspects, who struck at around 11.15pm on Sunday, are believed to be from Eastern Europe.

The first suspect is white, 30 to 35 years old, 5ft 8in tall, medium build, and wearing a light grey hooded top and matching tracksuit bottoms, with white trainers.

The other man is described as white, 5ft 10in tall, slim build, and wearing a blue or grey hooded top.

Detective Sergeant Richard Creanor said: “While the victim wasn’t badly injured, he was shaken as a result of his ordeal.”
