Police are investigating after a school girl was approached in a park on Ashley Drive.

Police are investigating after a school girl was approached.

The incident occurred on Wednesday November 23 near Craiglockhart Primary.

It has been reported that a man stopped and spoke to the girl while trying to ecouraged her to come into a vehicle. The girl refused and police were notified later that evening after she told her parents.

A police spokesman said: “We received a report of a girl who was approached by an adult in the Ashley Drive area of Edinburgh on Wednesday, November 23.

“The child was unharmed and told her parents what had happened when she returned home.

“We’re now working to establish the full circumstances in relation to this matter and ask anyone with relevant information to contact police on 101.”
