Police set to mark bikes

POLICE are set to host a series of bike-marking events in a bid to make it easier to reunite stolen cycles with their owners.

The first event will be held at Waverley Court in East Market Street on Monday between 11am and 2pm when officers will add ultra-violet markings to bikes.

More marking sessions will be held at the same times on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in Bristo Square, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary and King’s Buildings respectively.
