MP Ian Murray engages in Twitter spat with 'Corbynista' ex-colleague
EDINBURGH South Labour MP Ian Murray has been involved in a Twitter spat with a 'Corbynista' former council candidate.
Bruce Whitehead, who stood for Labour in Almond ward at last year’s local elections, posted and then deleted an appeal to the pro-Corbyn Democracy Roadshow: “Can you come to Edinburgh? We need help in @EdSoCLP.”
Mr Murray then tweeted: “Deleting your tweet just makes you even more gutless. Maybe you can keep hissing at me when I walk into meetings and talk of my deselection.
“By the way, my team and I are out almost every weekend campaigning in South. U should try it. It’s called winning.”
Mr Murray has in the past made outspoken criticisms of Jeremy Corbyn.
