Pupils flock to protest

PUPILS from Gorgie Mills School and Leith Academy staged a “wolves in sheep’s clothing” protest at the Scottish Parliament to demand plain packaging for tobacco products.

They accused tobacco firms of using fancy design and clever marketing to hide the true nature of their lethal products and target young people.

The protest came ahead of today’s World No Tobacco Day, whose theme is opposing tobacco industry interference in public health policy.
