Power firm under attack

A POWER firm has been criticised by a Leith councillor for leaving homes in the area without energy for several hours.

Councillor Gordon Munro said Scottish and Southern should have offered residents on Goosander Street an alternative as it sought to repair a fault earlier this month.

He said: “Scottish and Southern should be providing an alternative power source for residents. To be left for seven-and-a-half hours without water, electricity, lifts or lights is an arrogant approach by a company which cares more about its profits than its customers.”
