£10 bonus for recycling

Anyone recycling in Edinburgh this week could win a £10 shopping voucher.

Visits by council staff to random streets are the first phase of an incentive scheme to help the city meet waste targets and thank eco-friendly residents.

In the first two weeks, anyone taking their rubbish to a recycling point could be rewarded with a £10 voucher for high street stores.

There are two vouchers to be won each week day until September 16.
