£1.2m class A drugs seized

AROUND £1.2 million worth of Class A drugs has been seized as part of a joint policing operation.

Six people, including a 17-year-old girl, were arrested and charged with drug and money laundering offences following the discovery of heroin and cocaine.

Detectives from Lothian and Borders Police and Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary, assisted by the Scottish Prison Service, carried out inquiries between September 2010 and June this year to gather intelligence on those believed to be involved in organised crime.
