Pupils dig chance to plant flowers

prestonfield Primary School pupils Lisa Scott and Christopher McCallum, both aged nine, plant the first flowers of spring in the wildflower meadow at Prestonfield Park.

More than 600 wildflower plants will be planted in the meadow, with schoolchildren, council staff and volunteers from the Prestonfield and Cameron House Gardening Group all getting involved. The group was set up in 2003 to help improve the green spaces in the area, including Prestonfield Park and the war memorial grounds.
