Pupils reach f-i-n-a-l

A TEAM of pupils from The Mary Erskine and Stewart’s Melville Junior School has won a place in the final of a national Spelling Bee.

More than 1200 schools had registered to take part in the 2012 championship and on May 22 the pupils won their place in the Grand Final which takes place in London.

The team of Alex Radcliffe, Ben Scrimgeour, Maryam Jumani and Gemma Hills will take on nine other schools on June 21st at the Institute of Education in London.
