HUNDREDS of pink-clad runners gathered in Holyrood Park on Sunday to take part in the Cancer Research Race for Life
Gorgie teenager Annalisa Eadie, whose grandfather Alan was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer, was among them.
The 19-year-old, who ran the 5k, has raised around £150. She said: “It went really well. It was a really nice route. There were loads of good views. There was a big hill at the start but after that it was all downhill.”
Sisters Courtney and Natalia Yule, 21 and 19, ran the 5k and 10k respectively.
The pair, who both study at Napier University, said they enjoyed the challenge.
Natalia said: “I’m glad the weather conditions were like this. If it had been too hot it would have been tough.”
