Rankin’s dram fine gesture

CAPITAL crime writer Ian Rankin has gifted a bottle of rare “Rebus 20” Highland Park whisky to a charity auction.

Created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the inception of Rankin’s Inspector John Rebus, each bottle of Rebus 20 has been signed by the award- winning author.

The bottle will be auctioned for the Alec Lucas Memorial Trust, which is dedicated to Royal Marine Commando Lucas, who was killed in action in 2008.
