Have your say

The Edinburgh Minto Hotel’s stylish Polo Lounge certainly attracts a regular crowd who enjoy the quality bar food on offer.

The restaurant offers tasty, traditional and value for money bar lunches and suppers, which are available daily from noon to 9pm. Its head chef also dishes up daily specials, to keep things interesting.

The Edinburgh Minto was completely refurbished not so long ago and the Polo Lounge makes for a relaxing and comfortable environment to enjoy anything from a business lunch – there’s private parking – a family meal or a get together with friends. And on a fine summer’s day, the private terrace will be an ideal location for some alfresco dining and drinking.

Customers can also take advantage of two main bar meals for the price of one. So from only £8.95, two of you could be enjoying everything from macaroni in Mull cheddar sauce, steak pie topped with puff pastry with potatoes and seasonal vegetables to battered haddock, hand-cut chips, pickled onion and chip shop sauce.

What’s more, kids and OAPs can have two-courses for £5.95 or three-courses for £7.25.

There’s an enticing range of starters, with everything from the soup of the day with crusty roll (£2.95) to warm baked honey & rosemary Camembert with toasted dippers (£5.95). For mains or as a snack to share there’s a tasty selection of 12” homemade pizzas from the classic margarita (£8.50) to the Minto meat feast (£10.95).

If there’s room for dessert, why not try apple pie with cinnamon custard, sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce & Chantilly cream or cheesecake of the day (all £3.95)?
