Restaurant wins two accolades at ceremony

A Michelin-starred city restaurant has won two coveted accolades, Restaurant of the Year and Most Innovative Restaurant of the Year at the Scottish Restaurant Awards.

Castle Terrace Restaurant took the top prizes at a ceremony in Glasgow after being awarded its star last October.

Chef Dominic Jack said: “There are so many great restaurants in Scotland so to be recognised as Restaurant of the Year is a true honour. Myself and the rest of the team at Castle Terrace have really grown in confidence and as a result we aren’t afraid to take risks.”

Mr Jack worked at started his career at Gleneagles and has worked at the 3-star Michelin restaurant l’Arpège and 2-Michelin star Hotel Vernet restaurant Les Elysees in Paris.

More recently he worked with fellow Michelin-star chef Tom Kitchin at The Kitchin.
