Road rage attack on Aston Martin driver

POLICE are investigating a road rage incident which saw the driver of an Aston Martin Sygnet assaulted outside a Lothian supermarket.

The incident took place around 4.45pm on Sunday on the A701 in Penicuik.

The drivers of two cars, the silver Sygnet and a black Nissan Pulsar stopped on the main road following a near crash. The male driver of the Nissan got out of his car and approached the male driver of the Aston Martin who had stopped behind him. He then punched the Aston Martin driver in the face, before getting back into his car and driving off.

The suspect is described as white, in his 60s, 5ft 8in tall, stocky build, with short, fair to grey hair and long stubble. He was wearing a light coloured jacket, jumper and light trousers.
