Rugby tackle makes Michael a Scottish star Down Under

KILTED streaker Michael Grieg has become a celebrity in Australia after his pitch invasion was picked up by a major sports broadcaster.

Mr Grieg, from Edinburgh, ran on to the field during Scotland match against Australia which saw the visitors take a stunning 9-6 win. Now the 22-year old has been dubbed “Braveheart” by the Aussie press, and has even seen footage of his stunt being used by ESPN for their coverage of the Scots tour.

He said. “It was just a mad spur-of-the-moment thing and now friends from home are getting in touch to say I’m on TV ads.”
