Samurai sword brandished in domestic row, court told
A MAN who injured his partner with a samurai sword in a domestic row has been examined by a psychiatrist, Livingston Sheriff Court heard.
Thomas Barr, 45, brandished the weapon during a violent disturbance at a neighbour’s house in Bathgate.
The court heard he threatened to attack other people there with the sword before pressing it against his girlfriend Tracey Lamont’s neck.

Hide AdBarr, of Leyland Road, pleaded guilty yesterday to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and to assaulting Ms Lamont in November 2014.
Sentence was deferred until February 19, until the psychiatric report can be seen.
