Schoolboy hurt in hit-and-run

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a schoolboy was hurt in a hit and run.

The 13-year-old was crossing Queensferry Terrace at around 8.10am this morning when he was struck by a blue car.

He fell to the ground as the driver drove off northwards towards Queensferry Road.

The teenager was taken to the ERI with a suspected broken leg.

The car has only been described as medium-sized and blue.

A police spokesperson said: “This schoolboy sustained a serious injury as a result of this collision and it is vital we trace the driver of the vehicle to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.

“We would ask that they make contact with police immediately.”
