Search after thief crashes motorcycle

A MOTORBIKE thief sparked a police manhunt after crashing the vehicle at a Bonnyrigg roundabout and limping off on foot.

It is thought the crook had stolen the Honda motorcycle from a property in Edinburgh before crashing into a car at Hardengreen Roundabout, near Bonnyrigg Road at around 4.40pm on Saturday.

Witnesses reported seeing the man limp off to a nearby garden before escaping into fields.
