Secret clues put plight of at-risk puffins on the map

TAMMIE takes directions from five-year-old Scarlett Rochford ahead of its travels around the Lothians to raise awareness of the plight of fellow puffins.

The Scottish Seabird Centre’s mascot will be travelling to four secret locations with clues given on the centre’s website. Anyone who finds Tammie will be given a secret word which will earn free passes to the attraction.

Puffin numbers have seen a sharp decline across Scotland. More than 900 volunteers help out with the centre’s SOS Puffin campaign.
