Sex addict gets community service for bouncer attack

A SELF-confessed sex addict has been sentenced to community service after admitting attacking a bouncer outside an Edinburgh nightspot.

Shannon Flynn hit the headlines last year after she confessed that she was prone to violence if her boyfriend did not satisfy her in the bedroom.

The 27-year-old appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday for sentencing after she admitted spitting on and kicking a bouncer on a night out.

The former beautician pleaded guilty last month.

Her solicitor, James Stewart, told the court yesterday: “Ms Flynn has remained away from the police and has not acted violently since the incident occurred in 2010.”

Sheriff Isabella McColl sentenced Shannon to a total of 80 hours of community service over a period of six months.

Flynn gave no reaction to the sentence and refused to comment when she left court.

At the previous hearing, Flynn admitted attacking door steward Bulen Aksoy, by spitting on his face and kicking him on the body.

Her victim was injured as a result of the attack on October 28, outside Garibaldis in Edinburgh.
