Sex attacker spared jail sentence

A PAINTER and decorator who subjected an escort girl to a terrifying sex attack has escaped a jail sentence.

James Lilley, 32, arranged for the £100-an-hour sauna worker to visit him at his Livingston home.

But Lilley became “aggressive” after she had undressed and helped him shower, advocate depute David Nicolson told the High Court in Edinburgh.

When she offered him a massage he told her “I’m gonna get you pregnant,” and tried to have sex with her.

Judge Lord Uist yesterday told Lilley: “This must have been a terrifying experience for your victim who was greatly distressed by what happened but fortunately not physically injured.”

The judge said after reading background reports he was prepared to take “an exceptional course” and impose a community payback order.

Lilley, of Cameron Way, Livingston, West Lothian, must do 60 hours’ unpaid work and take part in a programme for sex offenders. He will also be kept under supervision for three years and can be brought back to court if he offends again.
