TRIBUTES have been paid to a young mum whose sudden death aged 24 has rocked her family and friends.
Bubbly blonde Nicole Fleming, of South Queensferry, died peacefully on Monday night. The cause of death is as yet unknown.
The former Telford College and Broughton High School pupil leaves behind a seven-year-old daughter.
Friends and family took to social media sites following her tragic death to pay tribute to a “fun-loving” young woman who had “lived life to the fullest.”
More than 600 people have posted messages in tribute to the former hair technician.
Nicole’s ex-partner and father to her daughter, Dean Gorrie, posted a heartfelt message on her Facebook page: “Some people buy expensive gifts, others buy extravagant ones, you gave me the most precious gift imaginable, our beautiful daughter and for that I will be eternally grateful. I’ll make sure she never forgets you and will always know how much you loved her and everything you done for her, I promise I’ll keep her safe through her life and will never let her come to any harm and that she brushes her teeth and does her homework. . . hope you’re at peace now.”
These sentiments were echoed by her older sister. Naomi, who said: “Don’t know what to say. I’m gonna miss you so much – you will never be replaced.
“You are the best sister I could ever ask for. You pulled me through everything, you truly are the world’s greatest sister and you’re my best friend. Dunno what I’m gonna do without you.
“Well Nicole you better be up there showing them all how it’s done – the only way we know how. Party on and love every minute. I am absolutely privileged to have known you and I’ll never ever be the same again. You’re an angel Nicole and the best person I have ever known and ever will know. Rest in peace.”
Friend Carrie Ann Wilson said: “I actually can’t believe it baby. Totally numb! Don’t feel a thing. Just lost, lost my wee spark, the only kind you could have given me. Got your dress I’ll get it dry-cleaned for you. I have made the decision to never say bye to you. Coz I just can’t.”
Friend Ashley Mcwhirter also posted on Tuesday: “One of the longest, saddest days of my life my sweet – I’m gonna miss you forever. I still struggle to believe it we have shared sooooo many memories and years of our lives and I can honestly say I am proud to have had you as my friend. Love you always babe. Sleep tight.”
Nicole will be laid to rest at Warriston Crematorium Lorimer Chapel at noon on Wednesday.
Her family were too upset to comment.
