Shopkeeper hit by robber

A SHOPKEEPER was punched during a robbery at a shop in Granton.

The incident happened around 6.50pm on Wednesday, at a gift shop in West Granton Road.

The suspect entered the store and approached the till. He then punched the shopkeeper and grabbed a small amount of cash before a struggle took place, and the suspect fled towards Granton Medway.

He is described as white, 17 to 18 years old, 5ft 6in tall, slim build, and wearing a brown hooded top and black jogging bottoms. He spoke with a local accent.
