Show’s splash of Colourist

THE largest exhibition of work by the Scottish Colourist artist George Leslie Hunter to be held in Scotland for almost 50 years will be staged in the Capital this summer.

Leslie Hunter: A Life in Colour, at the City Art Centre, will feature about 80 works drawn from public and private collections throughout the UK.

The exhibition, which will run from July 21 to October 14, will display his earliest work to that of his final years.

Lynne Halfpenny, city council head of culture, said: “We expect the exhibition to be very popular.”
