Signing Santa set to join run

Have your say

A REPRESENTATIVE of the British Deaf Association is to take part in this year’s Bupa Great Edinburgh Run as a “signing Santa” to highlight the lack of Christmas events with sign language interpretation.

Paul Challinor will complete the 5km run on January 7. The charity is campaigning for more British Sign Language to be provided to enable deaf people to enjoy events such as carol concerts, Christmas light switch-ons and Santa’s grottos.
