Sir Tom hails Carnegie Trust’s centenary

SIR TOM Farmer, a holder of the Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy, has launched Carnegie UK Trust‘s centenary celebrations with a message to a reception for philanthropic organisations from across the country in London.

The reception, held at Dover House, the Scotland Office on Whitehall, was attended by a number of distinguished guests and long-time partners of the trust including the Plunkett Foundation, NCVO, and The Wildlife Trusts.

Commenting on the trust’s milestone birthday, Sir Tom said: “The Carnegie UK Trust is best known for continuing Andrew Carnegie’s legacy in building 660 libraries around the UK.
