REGISTRATION has opened for runners looking to take part in the Speed of Light event later this year.
As part of Festival 2012 the project will see up to 5000 people running a choreographed route around the paths of Arthur’s Seat at night in specially constructed light-suits.
Anyone looking to take part needs to be fit enough to run 3-5km, including hill work, by the summer, and the route will involve elements of running, jogging and walking.
Places for the event will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and willing participants can register online now at speedof light2012.org.uk.
NVA’s Speed of Light is one of Scotland’s official contributions to the London 2012 Festival and the Cultural Olympiad.
