Speed dating studies minds

a SPEED dating event with a difference is to be held by The Edinburgh Secret Society.

Rather than making polite conversation, the event at the Voodoo Rooms on September 23 will give 48 participants the chance to play specially-designed mind games, such as trying to read one another’s thoughts and drawing portraits of one another. The evening is billed as “part-experiment, part speed-dating”.

The Secret Society, run by psychologist Richard Wiseman, holds events which explore psychological phenomena. Previous events have included a tribute to the magician The Great Lafayette and an exploration of death at Edinburgh University.

Tickets will go on sale at 10am on September 13 – for more information see edinburghsecretsociety.wordpress.com.
