Stars are still shining bright

FIVE city restaurants have retained their coveted Michelin star.

The Balmoral’s Number One restaurant, which retained its star for the tenth successive year, was among the Edinburgh eateries listed in the Great Britain & Ireland Michelin Guide 2012 – the most influential guide in the industry.

Others included The Kitchin, run by Tom Kitchin, Castle Terrace and Paul Kitching’s 21212 restaurant on Royal Terrace. Tony Borthwick’s Plumed Horse, in Leith, lost his, as did the Champany Inn in Linlithgow.
