In step with Bollywood

PUPILS at St George’s School for Girls have been trying their hand at Bollywood dancing.

With the usual timetable suspended, all pupils from primary through to secondary took part in a variety of workshops inspired by communities around the globe.

From Egyptian dance to Djembe percussion, beekeeping to robotics, the activities gave all pupils the chance to explore faith, music, art, dance, food, ecology and science.

Tricia Lancaster, deputy head, said: “Celebrating difference is very much part of St George’s ethos.”
