MORE than a dozen Edinburgh University students are diving with sharks at Deep Sea World to raise funds for charity.

The dives – which have been organised by MedRag, a society run by medical students – are raising money for charities including the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, Ayrshire Cancer Support, Children’s Holiday Venture, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Nepal Trust.

To date, the team of 13 divers – Megan Varty, Ashley Lee, Peng Sim, Shova Sah, Danielle Cullen, Sara Al-najeer, Graeme Sudworth, Yvonne Wiseman, Mathilda Dyson, Lorna McIntosh, Lily Akl, Ciara Edwards and Maya Reid – have raised more than £3800 between them.
