FIVE large artefacts at Prestongrange Industrial Heritage Museum have been relocated to Newtongrange after 30 years being battered by the elements at the East Lothian attraction.

Two weather-beaten cages and a hopper – and two wagons – which were formerly inside the pithead baths, will now have a new, sheltered home at Newtongrange as part of a wider display of other artefacts relating to the Scottish coal industry and coal communities.
