Talk studies superstition

THE psychology behind superstition is being explored in a lecture as part of the Edinburgh International Science Festival this Friday the 13th.

Hosted by Dr Stuart Wilson, psychology lecturer at Queen Margaret University, the talk will investigate why many people still feel a vague sense of unease when making plans for that particular date and if it could be something to do with the natural way in which human minds work.

The lecture is being held at Banshee Labyrinth, 35 Niddry Street from 8pm on Friday.
