Tapestry on return visit

The Battle of Prestonpans tapestry will make a return visit to East Lothian this weekend after a three-month exhibition in the Capital, where it was seen by more than 20,000 visitors.

The tapestry was created last summer with the help of 200 volunteers, including 89 from East Lothian. It was commissioned by the Battle of Prestonpans Heritage Trust and at 104 metres is the longest in the world. It will be on display at St Mary’s Parish Church, Haddington, until September 15.
