Tax doesn’t have to be taxing here

A NEW tax drop-in centre is to be opened in the Lothians.

Tax Assist Accountants, part of the largest independent network of accountants in the UK, has announced its latest expansion will see it launch a new shop in Musselburgh.

It is opening near the Brunton Theatre after a six-figure investment and will serve East Lothian and Midlothian.

The company already runs shops in Easter Road and Fairmilehead and has its head office in Dalkeith.

This week’s store launch will be celebrated with an official event on November 23, where local MSP Colin Beattie will cut the ribbon and guests will be treated to entertainment by magician Kevin McMahon.

Company director Alasdair MacLean said: “I am continually impressed by the entrepreneurship and determination of people throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians in the face of challenging times.

“We hope to help more self-employed people to get the support they need so they can concentrate on achieving success for their businesses.”
