A TEENAGE vandal has admitted daubing swastikas on the wall of a children’s skatepark.

Adam Heggie used spraypaint to scrawl anti-Jewish messages next to the symbols of Nazi Germany.

The 17-year-old also wrote graffiti which was insulting to Polish people, Livingston Sheriff Court was told.

A week after the vandalism, Heggie cruelly stubbed a lit cigarette out on the head of a ten-year-old boy.

He originally denied the offences but changed his plea at an intermediate diet on Wednesday.

Heggie, of Breich, West Lothian, pleaded guilty to culpably and recklessly writing sectarian remarks on October 5, 2013.

He was traced following an investigation into the incident at the skatepark in Howden South Road, Livingston.

The teenager also pleaded guilty to assaulting the primary school pupil in Woodmuir Road, Breich, five days later on October 10.

Sheriff Douglas Kinloch called for social work background reports before sentencing Heggie.

The case was adjourned until March 6.
