Teen charged over robbery

A YOUTH has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged assault and robbery of a teenager in Duddingston Park last month.

Police said the 17-year-old victim was punched and kicked in the face and body during the attack, which took place on August 26.

He was then robbed of his mobile phone.

A police spokesman said that the 13-year-old youth who was charged will now be reported to the Children’s Reporter.
