Teen has got rights stuff

A WEST Lothian teenager has been put forward for a prestigious human rights award.

Rhona Aitken, from Blackburn, has been long-listed for the Amnesty International Young Human Rights Reporter of the Year prize.

An article she wrote about human trafficking will now be judged by high-profile journalists and authors.

Only ten entries from each of the four age categories were chosen for the long-list.

Rhona, a St Kentigern’s Academy pupil, said: “It’s an honour.”
