Telford Festival gets gold star at marketing awards

EDINBURGH’S Telford College has won a prestigious marketing award following the success of its student-led Telford Festival.

The college went head-to-head with Coatbridge College and Dundee College to win the gold award for an event held by a college at this year’s Scotland’s Colleges Marketing Awards.

Telford Festival, which took place over a six-week period last year, provided an outlet for students to showcase the work they had produced over the last year through performances, exhibitions and celebrations.

Events and communications coordinator at the college, Lyndsey Dougan, said: “We are delighted to have won the award for best event at Scotland’s Colleges annual marketing awards.

“It is great to be recognised by the industry for all the hard work that went into the organisation and execution of the Telford Festival by both the staff and the students.”
