A NEW temporary assistant chief constable has been appointed at Lothian and Borders Police.

Chief Superintendent Graham Sinclair, who was the divisional commander for the Borders, has been moved to the post after Assistant Chief Constable Iain Livingstone was seconded to a position with the National Police Reform Team.

ACC Livingstone’s new role involves identifying policing changes facing the upcoming single force in Scotland.

Temp ACC Sinclair’s position will run until March next year.
