A COUNCIL tenant has been issued an Asbo for shouting and swearing at her neighbours.

Wendy Shaw, 41, was handed an interim Antisocial Behaviour Order following an application to the court by East Lothian Council.

From May 2014, officials said they had received a number of complaints about Ms Shaw’s behaviour.

The outbursts were said to have caused alarm and distress to her neighbours on Riverside Drive in Haddington.

She was also said to have received multiple warnings from Police Scotland.

The terms of Ms Shaw’s interim Asbo prohibit her from shouting or swearing within the property in Riverside Drive.

She has also been banned from encouraging others to exhibit similar behaviour.

A council spokesman said: “Despite receiving numerous warnings from both council officers and the police, Ms Shaw continued to behave in such a way that left us no choice but to seek out this Asbo.”
