Terror event ‘a success’

AN EVENT aimed at preventing a terror attack in the Capital has ended with a warning on radicalisation.

Professionals from the public sector and educational organisations yesterday took part in workshops that taught them how to recognise danger signs and take appropriate action.

The four-day Edinburgh Community Resilience Week was deemed a success by police, council chiefs and business leaders.

Assistant Chief Constable Iain Livingstone, from Lothian and Borders Police, said: “It was a valuable insight on their role in keeping our city safe.”
