Top marks for college result

STUDENTS at Jewel & Esk College have some of the best success rates in the country, according to new figures from the Scottish Funding Council.

The report maps the performance of every college in Scotland.

In 2009-10, 75 per cent of Jewel & Esk students gained a recognised qualification, compared with the national average of 62 per cent.

College principal Mandy Exley said: “The report shows the college is well above the Scottish average in many areas, which is great news for students and staff.”
